Robert Boyd, Snare Drummer

Robert remembers, when he was 5 years old, marching in his backyard with his dad and grandfather playing their pipes. He started attending rehearsals and knew he wanted to play snare drum. He got started and took First Place in his very first solo contest! He took time away from Scottish music to play guitar and drumset during high school. He watched as his younger brothers become excellent musicians, Eric as a piper and David as a drummer. He has been drawn back into the fold and considers it an honor and blessing from God to play right next to David in this corps.

Upon Seumas' return to California from New York, Victoria was thrilled to be invited into JJCMPB, especially having personally known "Jimmy." Career changes have caused Victoria to take a hiatus from the band, but she looks forward to returning to competition as soon as her schedule allows.

Michael Huntley has been pretending he knows how to drum, like most drunken Irishmen, since the early 1980's. At the correct angle the inscription reads: "Thank GOD he showed up." That was in Hawaii in 1990. Hmmmmm. Evidently he is on track for the "What have you done for me lately" Jackson award sometime this year.
