David Boyd

Snare Drummer from Santa Clarita, California

David started drumming very young initially learning the various rudiments from his oldest brother, Robert. He wasn't very serious until joining the City of Glendale Pipe Band at age 13, where he was taught by Kim Wolach. David has played with the 53rd Street Cabar Feidh under John Davis, the LAPD Pipe Band under Callum Hannah, and served 2 years as Drum Sergeant of JJCMPB. In December 2005, he invited Andrew Hoinacki as Drum Sergeant and remains a key player in the snare line. David has many solo drumming awards and also plays with the Celtic band Silent Planet.
