About The Band
The James J. Coyne Memorial Pipe Band, named to honor the teaching foundations upon which The Band was built, strives to maintain a reputation of social and musical integrity. The Band is driven to create, over the course of time, an award-winning, world-class organization recognized for the effort and time invested by its membership. Within The Band, members are assisted in elevating their skill level through continuous musical education and support.
The Band has set out to establish a sustainable organization so that future generations can become part of the legacy. Most important to The Band's longevity is the establishment of a strong business relationship with donors and sponsors who kindly contribute to the operation of the organization. Without such generosity, the efforts of The Band would not be possible. Community involvement is an important tool to The Band as well, always seeking to to perpetuate cultural heritage through musical and social interaction.
